Sterling Quarter Horses, established in 1987 has been at the forefront of American Quarter Horse competition internationally for more than two decades. The business has expanded from the UK base, to a global operation, with breeding and training facilities not only at the Court Lodge Farm, in East Sussex, England, but also in Aubrey, Texas, USA, the epicenter of the American Quarter Horse business worldwide. Sterling Quarter Horses continues to provide the very best in performance American Quarter horses on both sides of the Atlantic and stands Multiple World Champion Stallions at both facilities.
Set in the beautiful rolling Sussex countryside, above the historic Bodiam Castle, Sterling Quarter horses has expanded to become one of the most comprehensive specialist facilities in Northern Europe. In addition to the two large outdoors arenas, Court Lodge Farm is home to one of largest indoor riding arenas in Southern England, the Bodiam International Arena. This exceptional arena has a custom surface, which whilst being ideal for Reining horses is also suitable for a wide range of other Western and Classical riding activities. Multiple events take place during the year including International Competitions, Clinics as well as dressage and reining lectures and demos. The large mezzanine level clubroom plays host to various social gatherings, and there is always something for everyone during the year.
Under the direction of International riders, British Team members and FEI Medalists Francesca Sternberg and Doug Allen there is a wide range of experience available. Doug, an NRHA , FEI and AQHA Judge, as well as the 2012 NRHA Intermediate World Champion, is on hand to provide expert training and tuition to the highest levels. Horses are also always available for purchase, from young stock and prospect through to fully trained Schoolmasters and International competition horses.
The Breeding facility is available to anyone wishing to breed to Sterling Stallions as well as suitable for Artificial insemination and Embryo Transfer. This service can also be available to mare owners wishing to have their mares inseminated or stallion’s owners wishing to collect and ship semen.
